WYWG - engraved on the inside of two bands of gold almost 5 years ago.

  3. I’m still trying to work out what “WYWG” stands for:

    Where’s Your Wedding Gift?
    While You Were Gone?
    Whatever You Would Give?
    Whack Your Wild Girl?
Wyoming Wing (Civil Air Patrol) — that’s an actual acronym ;)

  4. Ok - Gareth you’re the first person ever to ask for an explanation :)

you may remember my sci-fi Geekishness - Alan is worse than I am, and we are both Trek fans.

Not long after we started going out, there was a song used for the trailer to Enterprise (the Star Trek Spin off) - “Wherever you will go” by The Calling (it was used as a soundtrack for the initial trailers but never for the series itself)

At the time of the wedding, my curacy in Ayr was coming to an end - we would be moving within a few months but at that time had no clue as to where. “Wherever you will go” (the sentiment, not necessarily the song) became a bit of a theme for that point in our life together - stepping out into the unknown and all that.

    Bit cheesy really
