A varied day…

Today was great fun. Called upon by the pre-school nursery using our halls to talk about baptism, I dug out my shiniest robes, prepared the water, made sure the church was warm and welcoming for the 20 or so 3yr olds and their parents.

The kids loved it, exploring the church, learning about the special clothes and the stories of God’s people through the ages, and about Jesus and His baptism in the river.

The bit they enjoyed most? The “christening” of Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear and umpteen teddies and dolls. And the party of course!

The bit I enjoyed the most?  Though the kids were great, and fun was had by all, for me today’s highlight has got to be dinner with the parents of the Groom from Saturday’s wedding.  A great couple, and a fantastic source of support for Alan and I.  (pics of the wedding will be available shortly I hope)
